Raise:



To increase the size of a bet that has already been made.





Rake:



The stake take by the casino as commission of the game, generally 5-10% of the pot of each hand.





River:



The fifth and final community card dealt in Hold’em or Omaha, also called ‘fifth street’.





Rock:



A name for a conservative, one who may only call when he has only very strong hands.
