Kicker:



Also called a side card, the kicker is the card that doesn’t play in the hand its self but is kept to determine the rank of the hand. For example, k-k-8-5-2, the 8-5-2 are the kickers. When ranked against k-k-6-4-2, the first example would win as it holds higher ranked kickers.
