Call:



Player is invited to match or raise a bet that has been made.





Check:



A player can check indicating he does not wish to open the bet round, but retains his hand in order to call or raise later in the same round. The player cannot check once a bet has been made.





Check-raise:



To check with the intention of raising after someone has bet, a strategy very much frowned upon in some games. Allowed in all casino poker.





Community cards:



Face up cards in the middle of the table, which belong to all players still in. Used in both Hold’em and Omaha.
